This is my dad's dog Missy. Everytime Missy wants out she'll go to the back door and when she wants in she'll come around and sit at the side of the house until we open the front door. This night we were going to a ball game and she got out of the door, went to the side of the house and just layed there while we were gone. She stays there until we come back home.
Sounds like Missy is a very smart/good dog. my dog would just keep running. He likes to run. Probably like my boys. LOL
